Data-Driven Decision Making
Data-Driven Decision Making has moved to the forefront of educational reform in the past decade. The data analysis and reporting requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001(NCLB) have led schools to search for new technology for data management, analysis and reporting.
NORMES provides this technology through a

NORMES
The National Office for Research, Measurement and Evaluation Systems (NORMES) developed a system for simplifying the data-driven decision making process. NORMES structured student achievement data and engineered SAS Enterprise Guide software to allow unprecedented access to student level data using a confidential and secure system. The new system utilizes SAS Enterprise Guide software (E-Guide), centralized data management, targeted training and technical support to facilitate the process. NORMES tailors data analysis and reports to meet unique assessment and reporting requirements of different states.
Availability
EGuide is funded through federal and state grants, and currently available to all schools and districts in Arkansas at no charge to the school or district. NORMES, located at the University of Arkansas, worked extensively with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) on the development of this system.
NORMES actively seeks additional states to expand this consortium, extending the benefits of this service to public education systems in other states. Talk to your state department of education about NORMES.
