Grade Inflation Report 2004-2006
The issue of grade inflation has been raised because of a persistent difference between the average reported grade point averages and ACT scores for students graduating high school in Arkansas. The concern with grade inflation was identified in the late 1990s when remediation were in the 60% range. Several studies have been conducted by NORMES on behalf of the Arkansas Department of Education and the Arkansas Legislature. NORMES reports these findings directly to a Joint Education Oversight Committee for the Arkansas Senate and House of Representatives.
